Healthcare Resources

Practical tools to help Autistic adults navigate healthcare settings, communicate needs, and self-advocate.

This image shows a clean, minimal workspace viewed from above, with a focus on writing and thoughtful work.

On the left, part of a laptop is visible, suggesting digital work or research. In the centre, thereโ€™s a cup of black coffee, adding a sense of pause or rhythm to the workspace. Nearby, a pen rests on the surface, and a small plant brings in a subtle natural element.

On the right, a hand is actively writing in a spiral-bound notebook with grid paper. The posture of the hand and pen suggests focus and intentionโ€”capturing ideas, planning, or reflecting.

Overall, the scene feels calm and purposeful, blending productivity with a sense of quiet concentration and clarity.

Healthcare Passport for Autistic Adults

Bring this to your health appointments

What is the passport?

The healthcare passport is a document that you can fill out and keep. You can then bring it with you to any healthcare appointments and ask your healthcare workers to read it before interacting with you.

What does the passport do?

The passport helps to support your self-advocacy by outlining your healthcare needs, including your communication and sensory needs.

Who created it?

This passport has been designed by the team at Thriving Autistic, inspired by both the HSE Health Passport for people with intellectual difficulties and the UK’s National Autistic Society Health Passport.
